Some vehicle transport companies do not even have insurance - be weary of them. Some of those auto transport companies that do have insurance might only cover scratches in the paint that happen during transport, while others will cover almost all damages, while others cover zero damage that could happen to your car.

Now you need to decide whether your car should be transported in an enclosed trailer or an open trailer. Open trailers are generally cheaper yet, they pose a risk of your car being damaged by the elements. On the other hand, enclosed trailers are definitely more expensive but are a much safer way of vehicle transport.
